The CodeRefinery project (http://coderefinery.org) was launched last autumn. CodeRefinery aims to reach out to diverse academic communities which use and develop software in their research, and advocate more modern and efficient software development methods (such as collaborative distributed version control, automated testing, code documentation, managing code complexity, etc). CodeRefinery is not about efficient code, but rather efficient coding, and we’re confident that scientists have a lot to gain from the course material!
The second 3-day workshop is planned for KTH in Stockholm on February 20-22 2017, see the website here: http://coderefinery.org/workshops/2017-02-20-stockholm/
The most natural audience for the workshops is PhD students and postdocs, but both more junior and senior people may find it interesting and worthwhile to attend.
