KTH Mechanics was awarded 46 million core hours within PRACEThe research project “REFIT” (Rotational effects in turbulence) has been awarded a total of 46 million core hours on the Tier-0 machine in Jülich (Bluegene/P JUGENE). The project was chosen in the competitive review process of PRACE (Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe) for the 2nd regular call. The proposal is headed by Arne Johansson in collaboration with Dan Henningson, Geert Brethouwer, Philipp Schlatter and Rebecca Lingwood from KTH Mechanics/SeRC, and the international partner Martin Oberlack (TU Darmstadt). This is the first time a Swedish group has been successfully granted time on a Tier-0 machine within PRACE.
