In 2012, SNIC initiated a two-year pilot project aimed at evaluating the usefulness and user interest for GPU-based calculations. Two pilot systems, Erik at Lunarc and Zorn at PDC, have been available with GPU-accelerators. During the project, Intel’s solution for increased computing capacity, Xeon Phi, has also been made available in Erik and Zorn.

SNIC now invites you to a workshop on the use of this class of hardware for HPC. The workshop consists of presentations from vendors of hardware and software and the user’s experience of the use of accelerators in their projects.

The workshop is given at KTH in Stockholm. There will also be possibilities to meet with application experts and vendors after the workshop.
