How is great research born, and how can a few ideas evolve into a new field of research?
Join us for an open seminar with the 2013 Chemistry Nobel laureates Martin Karplus, Michael Levitt and Arieh Warshel who will share their experiences, feelings and ideas about the future of science, and what they would do if they were to start over as PhD students today.

Why are these ground breaking discoveries more common in some places than others? Is it related to funding, or are there other factors involved in building truly creative environments where research thrives? Are our universities creative environments?

Time: Saturday, December 14, 10.00-12.00
Place: Aula Magna, Stockholm university, Frescati. Metro: Universitetet
Open to the public, no admittance fee

The seminar is organized by SeRC.
