PDC is pleased to announce the Introduction to PDC Systems training day which will be held on the 13th of September 2016 between 13:00 and 16:00 at PDC.
This is a half-day course centered on how to use the systems that PDC provides, and is a good starting point for people who are unfamiliar with how computer clusters work.
The course will consist of two lectures focusing on basic and advanced methods for using the PDC systems. The course will cover some background information and discuss the clusters that are available, as well as looking at how to get an account at PDC, how to apply for time on PDC resources, how to log in to PDC systems, how to log in to clusters, how to run software on various nodes, how to store data for easy access, how to compile programs, and other useful tasks.
