The goal of one of the projects is to break Big Data barriers in numerical simulations to enable next-level flow and climate research.

Three large projects with principal investigators from SeRC have received grants of about 30 milj SEK each from the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research.

Seif Haridi recieved funding for continous deep analysis of data, Jens Lagergren for large scale machine learning for the single cell revolution and Tino Weinkauf, with SeRC collaborators, recieved funding on in-situ analysis of Big Data for flow and climate simulations.

The last project on Big Data for flow and climate simulations is a collaboration between several SeRC communities, especially FLOW (Philipp Schlatter), Climate modeling (Gunilla Svensson and Rodrigo Cabellero), Parallel Software and Data Engineering (Erwin Laure) and Visualization (Ingrid Hotz and Tino Weinkauf).
