Exascale computing power will likely be reached in the next decade. While the precise system architectures are still evolving, one can safely assume that they will be largely based on deep hierarchies of multicore CPUs with similarly-deep memory hierarchies, potentially also supported by accelerators. The challenge of designing, implementing, monitoring existing and new applications running efficiently at large scale on these platforms involves application, numerical library, programming, development environment developers.
The aim of this conference is to bring together all the developers and researchers involved in solving the software challenges of the exascale era. The conference focuses on issues of applications for exascale and the associated tools, software programming models and libraries.
