Want to harness supercomputers for your work? Applications are open for the KTH Introduction to High Performance Computing Summer School 2026, open to both academia and industry.
The KTH Center for Scientific Computing (KCSC) will host an intensive summer school designed to provide participants with essential skills in high-performance computing, a foundational technology in modern computational science. The program is intended for PhD students, academic researchers, and R&D engineers in industry.
The program consists of one week of in-person training in Stockholm, preceded by two online preparatory days. Participants will engage in both lectures and hands-on laboratory sessions utilizing Dardel, KTH’s flagship high-performance computing system. The curriculum includes the following topics:
– Work with modern supercomputer architectures, including multi-core CPUs and GPUs
– Program with OpenMP and MPI for shared- and distributed-memory systems
– Grasp the fundamentals of GPU programming on AMD and NVIDIA hardware
– Apply software engineering principles to real scientific applications
Lectures come from HPC and computational science researchers, as well as experts from leading hardware vendors (HPE, NVIDIA and AMD).
