eCPC WP4: Cancer systems biology

This project will develop models for eCPC based on a systems biology approach.

Using network theory (founded in discrete mathematics and graph theory) this project focuses on how putatively interesting genes (SNP arrays, next generation sequencing), splice variants (RNA-seq and Affymetrix exon arrays) and/or proteins cause aberrations in signalling pathways and influence cancer survival. More generally the project will integrate large-scale data from genetics via transcriptomics and proteomics to cell phenotypes, and use mathematical and statistical models to decipher the logic by with cancer cells make decisions to, for example, evade apoptosis, continuously grow and invade other tissues.

There is now an open position for a PostDoc in WP4.
